Anesthesia Associates of East Alabama
Anesthesia Associates of East Alabama is a physician group that provides comprehensive, 24-hour anesthesia coverage for surgical procedures at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama.
The group began in 1969 as G. Earle Fuller, M.D., was the first board-certified anesthesiologist at the Lee County Hospital (today known as East Alabama Medical Center). In 1987, cardiothoracic anesthesiologists P. George Purves, M.D., and John D. McArthur, M.D., joined the practice as an open heart program began at the hospital.
Over the years, our practice has continued to expand as surgical services and specialties represented at East Alabama Medical Center have increased. Today, our 10 anesthesiologists are assisted by a team of 24 certified registered nurse anesthetists. Each physician has attained or is in process of obtaining Board Certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
Pain Management Physicians
Pain Management Physicians is a division of Anesthesia Associates of East Alabama (AAOEA). Led by a team of board certified/eligible physicians, AAOEA provides comprehensive, 24-hour anesthesia coverage for surgical procedures at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama.
